Welcome
to Sea Venture's website. Here you can find out a little about us, view a few
photos, and link to our blogs to see where we are and what we're doing. (See Below)
The
heading photo shows the Sea of Cortez after a stormy night when we lay
hove-to, waiting for daylight before entering La Paz back in 2004. Elsewhere, you'll see photos of the dolphins that cavorted around the boat.
I'd heard them just before dawn, blowing and leaping.
In the next photo, Sea Venture sits at anchor in Stillwater Cove, just
below Pebble Beach Golf Club on her way to her temporary home in
California. Michael shot this through our huge binoculars with his
small digital camera because we didn't have a telephoto lens with us.
Not bad, is it?

In May of 2008, we began our voyage Out There. Sea Venture left San Francisco Bay with plywood and all sorts of things tucked away (barely) for work en route. It's been fun, messy, and obviously something that will continue while we own the boat. Our early entries showing the galley rebuild and the lower salon renovation appear on Sailblogs.
Since leaving Ensenada, we have been using a new blog Sea Venture's Journey to show our progess. This has links to web albums that show the pilot house remodel, places we've been, friends we've made, and just a lot of fun pictures. You can also see family pictures and a group of places we enjoy on the Image Gallery.
